The British comedian and actor described Vislor Antilly, referred to as Anti, as a “wonderful person” and mentioned that they connected immediately.

Gervais He mentioned that the German shepherd contributed to making After Life his “favorite filming experience ever,” and he felt pleased to tell her “a hundred times a day that she was such a good girl.”
In all 18 episodes of the Netflix comedy, Antilly portrayed Brandy the Dog, alongside Gervais, who plays Tony, a local newspaper reporter coping with the loss of his wife.
In the series that aired for three seasons between 2019 and 2022, Tony is frequently depicted walking Brandy, who prevents him from ending his life.
A message on the Instagram page of Antilly the Wonder Hound said: “Vislor Antilly, After Life’s Brandy, has unfortunately passed away. We miss her greatly already. Rest in peace xxx.”
She passed away quietly at her residence in Oxfordshire when she was 13 years old.
‘Such sad news’
In response to the news of the death, Gervais expressed, “I am deeply saddened by this. Anti was a wonderful person.”
The dog also appeared in Hollywood films such as Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow, Michael Fassbender’s Trespass Against Us, and George Clooney’s The Midnight Sky.
She appeared in television programs including The Capture, Doc Martin, Britain’s Got More Talent, and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Her last on-screen performance was showcased in the July release of the Midsomer Murders episode titled “The Debt of Lies,” in which she portrayed a retired police dog that apprehends the murderer before going into retirement.
Subsequently, Antilly stepped away from acting in movies and television.
Antilly was born in April 2011 in Herefordshire, at the West Bromwich-based Vislor Dog Training Centre. She was raised by trainers Travis and Ashley Foster, who had roles in Sir Christopher Nolan’s film Batman: The Dark Knight. When she was just 10 weeks old, she visited them on the film set.
Her Instagram biography stated: “Vislor Antilly is an animal actor, stunt performer, and supporter of charitable causes. She portrayed Brandy in Ricky Gervais’s After Life and has a quite amusing tummy.”
